NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTER
In 1975,
the Government of India strategically decided to take effective steps
for the development of information systems and
utilizations of information resources, and also for introducing computer
based system (informatics-led development) in government
ministries and departments to facilitate planning and program
implementation to further the growth of economic and social development
. Following this, the Central Government nucleated a high priority plan
project " National Informatics Center (NIC)"
in 1976, and with the assistance of United Nations Development
Program(UNDP) latter on.
Today National
Informatics Center (NIC) Department of Information Technology is
providing network backbone and e-Governance support to Central
Government, State Governments, UT Administrations, Districts and other
Government bodies. It offers a wide range of ICT services including
Nationwide Communication Network for decentralized planning, improvement
in Government services and wider transparency of national and local
Governments. NIC assists in implementing Information Technology
Projects, in close collaboration with Central and State Governments, in
the areas of (a) Centrally sponsored schemes and Central sector schemes,
(b) State sector and State sponsored projects, and (c) District
Administration sponsored projects. NIC endeavors to ensure that the
latest technology in all areas of IT is available to its users.

year 1998 .
ACHIEVMENTS IN I. T.
The services
was inaugurated by web cast and video conferencing by Hon'ble C. M.
Chhattisgarh Dr. Raman Singh on 26th January 2005 from Ambikapur.

CONFRENCING : -
The service of
video conferencing facility was inaugurated by Hon'ble Shri Prem
Prakash Pandey , Speaker Vidhan Sabha Chhattisgarh on 15th August 2004
, who had session of inauguration with Hon'ble CM Chhattisgarh Dr.
Raman Singh From NIC State Center Raipur studio .
This Facility
is extensively used by the collector and the district administration
regularly to communicate and appraise various development activities
to senior state officers in session with NIC Raipur studio.
This facility
was also used by the public on every Mondays and Thursdays at 11:30 am
to communicate and seek solution for their grievances by session with
GAD officers from NIC state Raipur studio. (NIC Contacts

About
20 offices have been given internet connectivity through LAN
connectivity by NIC, District Center Jashpur.
Land Records
computer centers have been established in all 8 tehsil's of the
district. NIC's Bhuiya software Ver 3.2 software has been installed
and being used in all tehsil's. Computerized khasra, B-1 and complete
village account holder reports related to land records are being
provided to general public.
E-kosh at
District Jashpur covers District Treasury and other all Sub Treasury which are
made online in closed network . E-kosh Software ensures online entry ,
passing , preparing of cheques , delivery of Cheques etc. E-Kosh
Projects has turned Treasury activities completely automated and
paperless indact.
Computerization
of Agricultural Produce Marketing Center (APMC).(www.agmarknet.nic.in)
In our
district there are 3 krishi Upaj mandies Samities namely KUMS Jashpur ,
KUMS Balod, KUMS Bemetara have covered under this Project. This KUMS
uploads daily market information through dial up connectivity by
e-mail to National Agricultural information network .
- Computerization of
Payroll : -
Payroll has
been implemented in All DDO's Offices of District covering
approximately 285 in no.
Payroll
software caters the facility of generating all schedules and reports
for both CPS(Contributory Pension Schemes )and non CPS .
Payroll
software data is integrated with the E-kosh online Project. Hence now
employees of Chhattisgarh government can be seen in e-kosh online
portal
